Pattern approval certificate of
measuring instruments
(Gosstandart of Russia Metrology Certification System)
Pursuant to the Russian Federation Law on Harmonization of Metrology, a
Pattern Approval Certificate of Measuring Instruments (Metrology
Certificate) has been introduced by Gosstandard. Its aim is to protect
citizens from unreliable measuring results, to achieve harmonization with
international metrology principles.
The
main feature of the certificate is that it is issued only once. So if a
measuring instrument has once been certified and entered in the State
Register of measuring instruments, it has no need to be certified once
again.
The
Certificate is given out to a manufacturer, who is to produce its copy upon
request.
