RoHS COMPLIANCE STRATEGY

RMT Ltd has implemented new manufacturing procedures to comply with the RoHS Directives. RMT is working to provide products that meet these directives prior the July1, 2006 deadline.

Our goal is to be compliant with RoHS requirements during 2005 and the beginning of 2006, with individual product families achieving compliance at different times throughout the period as shown in our roadmap.

The conversion requires use of lead (Pb) free assembly materials and techniques within our manufacturing processes. Our intend is to produce RoHS compliant products without compromising form, fit or function and that performance and reliability will meet or exceed that of current products.

All RoHS compliant products available for sale have identification labels according to JESD97 Standard.

RoHS compliant means that the product or part does not contain any of the following substances in excess of the following maximum concentration values in any homogeneous material, unless the substance is in an application that is exempt under RoHS: (a) 0.1% (by weight) for lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls or polybrominated diphenyl ethers; or (b) 0.01% (by weight) for cadmium.
