The company RMT got Russian Patent #2680675 for a method of manufacturing miniature cycling TECs. The developed unique technology allows producing TECs with durability to fast repeating temperature changes and extremely high reliability.
RMT is the first TEC manufacturer that offers miniature cycling TECs in which both ceramic plates are less than 20×20 mm2 and the cross-sectional dimensions of the pellets are less than 1 mm2.
The main application of the cycling TECs is medical equipment for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) machines used for DNA analysis. RMT's cycling TECs can be used not only for PCR, but also for other applications that require high reliability, for example, analytical and testing equipment, etc.
RMT's cycling TECs have successfully passed the cycling tests. Test parameters were as follows: 500 thousand cycles, base temperature 40°C, TEC cold side temperature +20/+100°C, cycle time 30 sec.
